TALWA Group started out of need to contribute to solving society’s problems especially after the ending of the fourteen years civil war in Liberia. Several children and their families were left homeless, children were out of school, had no recreational activities, several were experiencing exploitation and abuse, while their parents were out of jobs either due to limited employment opportunities or because they did not have the qualifications required to enter the main work stream. Calvary Empowerment Team (CET) was established in January 2007 to fulfill this need. CET begun programs in health awareness including sanitation, gender based violence prevention, job matching, recreation and creating safe play spaces, amongst others...
TALWA Group was born from a desire to help rebuild communities after Liberia’s fourteen-year civil war. Families were displaced, children lacked access to education and recreation, and unemployment was widespread.
As impact deepened, the need for sustainable, long-term solutions led to the creation of business subsidiaries — forming the foundation of TALWA Group, formally incorporated in 2023.
