Samuel Talwa Duo is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of the TALWA Group of Companies, a conglomerate of companies operating across industries. He is a multi-skilled professional with about 20 years of experience in the private, public and developmental sectors. He has worked at senior management levels in notable companies such as United Bank for Africa Liberia Limited, APM Terminals Liberia, Lonestar Cell MTN, Partners In Health, Population Services International, served at Mid-Management level at Firestone Liberia, and at the World Bank Funded EMUS Project, as National Organizational Consultant, assigned at the Monrovia City Corporation, amongst others.
He holds BBA, MBA and MA degrees in Business Administration and International Relations from the AME University and University of Liberia respectively. He also earned several professional certificates including Certificates in Human Resources Management.
He is an Alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), Exchange Programs of the US State Department, and an International Associate of Wagner College, USA.
He served as Vice President for Grievance & Ethics of the Association of Liberia Human Resource Professionals (ALHRP), 2019-2023; Board Member and Co-Chairman, Board of Directors, Calvary Baptist Church School System (CBCSS), 2016-2020 and 2020-present, amongst others.
Jewel Wesseh-Duo is the Managing Partner of TALWA Group, a conglomerate of Companies operating across sectors. She has about 10 years of experience in the educational and program management sectors. She previously worked with Calvary Empowerment Team, a self-initiative as Program Officer, Liberia Teacher Training Program LTTP, a USAID sponsored project where she served as Coach and Trainer for Teachers in public school; in 2019, joined Kids Dream Ice Cream as a Co-Owner and Managing Partner and in 2023, Managing Partner of TALWA Group.
She serves as a part-time consultant with ELITE Teachers’ Training & Consultancy.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology and Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, both from the University of Liberia and Cuttington University respectively. She has earned several certificates including being a Certified Teacher Trainer by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia. She will support in the training needs assessment, training preparation and delivery.
